Why cyber security matters before an IPO
When businesses move towards an IPO, scrutiny increases dramatically. Investors, advisors, legal teams and underwriters want confidence that the organisation can:
- Protect customer information
- Manage cyber risk
- Respond to incidents
- Meet regulatory obligations
- Scale securely
Cyber security is no longer viewed as an IT issue. It is a corporate governance issue — and one a listing process will test.

Frequently asked questions
When should we start?
As early as practical — ideally 6–12 months before listing, so there is time to remediate findings rather than disclose them under due-diligence pressure.
Is this the same as a penetration test?
It’s broader. Due diligence covers governance, risk, compliance and operations as well as technical exposure. We can include or coordinate penetration testing where it adds evidence.
Do you work with our advisors and legal team?
Yes — we deliver evidence and reporting designed to fit the diligence process and answer the questions underwriters, investors and lawyers will ask.
